DIVINE TASK – Newsletter for Christ Missionary Outreach Ministries, July 2025.

We are grateful to enter this second half of the year with thankful hearts and unwavering confidence in God to guide us through. Our theme for the year is inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:7: “We walk by faith, not by sight”. Believing that the rest of the year shall be for us months of demonstrating extraordinary faith in advancing the gospel and in our lives. We kicked off the year with a significant program: a staff consultation, workshop, and ministry planning session attended by all area coordinators, headquarters staff, and management. This year, we were especially encouraged by the presence of our board chairman at the retreat. The months of March to May 2025 were particularly challenging for us due to the passing of Monica Audu’s sisters, just one month apart. This tough season reminded us that, whether in life or death, what matters most is the assurance that we belong to the Lord. Through it all, the Lord has kept us safe, comforted us, encouraged us, and provided abundantly. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Your partnership means so much to us.

UPDATE FROM MISSION FIELDS

We are thankful for how God has guided our missionary workers, including indigenous, cross-cultural, and volunteer field staff. Our recent focus has been on reaching unreached groups in Bauchi State. In January, we celebrated a wonderful milestone when a new convert and his entire family accepted Jesus! What a fantastic way to start the year! This brought us great encouragement, even as we faced strong opposition in our efforts to erect church buildings.

We praise God for the indigenous workers being raised in these areas and for the training opportunities that have been made available to them. They are effectively using audio Bibles and engaging in evangelism within Fulani-dominated communities, as well as conducting open-air crusades, where we are seeing a growing number respond positively. Currently, we have about 15 stations across Bauchi State, to the glory of God.

In addition, we have witnessed water baptisms at various stations in other states, which brings us joy as we see individuals confidently making a statement of faith and embracing their new identity in Christ. In June, the CMO Women’s Convention was held in Cameroon, and we praise God for honoring the event with His presence.

We are grateful for the provision of four motorcycles to support our missionaries’ movement and alleviate some of the transportation challenges they face.

ZION HILLS
Zion Hills, our proposed retreat and conference facility located on the outskirts of Jos (Zukku), Plateau State, is steadily progressing. This ambitious project is envisioned as a spiritual oasis, providing a serene environment for retreats, conferences, and other spiritual activities. We are incredibly grateful to God for answering our prayers! So far, we have successfully laid the foundation, raised the walls to lintel level, and completed the beams. Please pray for God’s divine provision for the completion of the Zion Hills Training Center, which is currently at the final roofing level. We ask for His guidance in providing the necessary resources for doors, windows, plumbing, electrical fittings, plastering, tiling, furniture, etc.

Our sports ministry is leveraging friendly football matches to build community and create opportunities for sharing the gospel. While there is much room for improvement, we are reminded of the mustard seed’s potential. Please pray that God will bring a bountiful harvest of true hearts turning to Him from these small beginnings.

LEARNING CENTER

The Zion Hills Learning Center began in August 2023 as an initiative to reach the Zukku community through child education. Our focus has been on out-of-school children and those who did not know how to read. When these kids first arrived at the center, many did not even recognize the alphabet. We are overjoyed to see their significant improvement in writing, reading, and speaking skills!Last farming season, the children had their own school farm where they planted carrots, yielding a bountiful harvest. This year, they have planted both carrots and sweet potatoes.

This month, the kids had the opportunity to visit the National Commission for Museums and Monuments in Jos, as well as the zoo. We praise God for providing a minibus for the center, which has made transportation easier and safer, greatly benefiting the teachers who commute from town. This excursion was a core memory for the kids, and we look forward to more exciting trips in the future!
