Christ Missionary Outreach (CMO) is a Christian nonprofit and non-denominational mission agency operating in Nigeria since 1990. Our focus is on reaching people with the Gospel of Christ in a holistic manner.
For decades, our Missionary Outreach Team (MOT) has enlisted and deployed believers for both short and long term missions, with the core goal of encouraging all believers to become active participants in missions. Through medical outreaches, relief work, community development, and food programs, we build a bridge and create an avenue to bring the message of the Gospel to the least reached communities in Nigeria and beyond.
To preach the gospel, plant churches, disciple believers, train leaders and carry out community development in areas where Christ is not known (Romans 15:20).
We envision strong indigenous churches with Christ-like believers, trained leaders, and holistically transformed communities.
Part of our focus at CMO is to shape the future of communities by providing basic education for children in those communities. Through Christ Missionary Academy, established in several states in Northern Nigeria, children are receiving free Christian education with the goal of molding them into light bearers and change agents of their own communities.
Raising effective Christian leaders is at the heart of what we do at CMO. We believe the success of the church in fulfilling her assignment will largely depend on the raising of men and women who will show Christ to the world in word and deed across all walks of life.
